247 Fighting Championship's Focus
We are happy to provide the Pittsburgh MMA community with a promotion that is committed: 1. To the sport 2. To putting on great shows and 3. Building up local fighters. We look forward to providing great new opportunities for fans to see great MMA action and shows here in Pittsburgh.
Fighters + Gyms
We want to take Pittsburgh MMA to another level. We want to build up the current crop of young athletes and get them to their objectives. For some, that will mean a goal of getting to the UFC or Bellator. For others, that will mean working their way up the card at the regional level. And everything in between.
We are excited to make regional MMA exciting in Pittsburgh again! With a full commitment to promoting the events and putting together great cards and shows with entertainment value, combined with helping to make stars out of our athletes, 247 Fighting Championships seeks to be a regional powerhouse and to be the model for regional MMA promotions nationally.
Ryan’s lifelong passion for MMA has been obvious to anyone who has ever been around him. Getting involved in MMA blogging and podcasting in 2016 was the beginning of the journey that led to starting 247 Fighting Championships. This journey has only just begun!
Liam was introduced to regional MMA in March 2018 and fell in love with it. He immediately wanted to get involved and has taken on the very important role in the company as our matchmaker. His skills have already shown through and we are excited for great things to come from Liam.
Director of Operations
Jim has been with 247 long before it became what it is today. Jim, Ryan and Dan Altieri’s trip to Cleveland for UFC 203 was the catalyst for Octagon 24/7 and MMA Fancast, an MMA blog and podcast that got the ball rolling for what has now become Pittsburgh newest MMA promotion. Jim’s role with 247 FC has him overseeing the fight day operations, from setup to equipment to staffing… and everything in between.
Director of Logistics
Brian joined 247’s leadership team just after Steeltown Throwdown. Brian was an integral part of game day setup and teardown so it was a no-brainer that Brian join the leadership team.
